Government College of Engineering, Amravati

The Government College of Engineering, Amravati is one of the oldest Engineering colleges in Maharashtra. It was started in 1964 by Maharashtra Government. It is an autonomous institute under the purview of AICTE. It has as lush green campus of 115 acres.

The institution started in 1964 with three basic UG programs in Electrical, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering. The UG programs in Electronics & Telecommunication (1986), Computer Science and Engineering (1986), Instrumentation ( 1996) and Information Technology (2001) were introduced thereafter. Five part-time and five full time PG programs in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics were started subsequently. The total student strength in current academic year is 1726. All eligible programs have been accredited by NBA.

The institute is Wi-Fi enabled.
